Gimp: How to improve brightness and contrast in your photos using Gimp

This workshop shows some easy techniques to improve contrast and brightness to show more details in your picture using the free and open source software Gimp.

You will learn how to
- fit an image into a window
- adjusting color levels
- adjusting color curves

Prerequisites:

We will use the software Gimp, please make sure you have it installed and running on your computer before you enter the workshop.

The text is not new, as a matter of fact I wrote it some years ago for PHP4 but I revised some of the chapters so that it’s still good for PHP5. You can download it for free from lulu.com and you can even share it with your friends (it’s under Creative Commons no-commercial share-alike license).

Obwohl ich diese Simulation schon kannte, war mir nie in den Sinn gekommen, sowas auch zum Sprachenlernen einzusetzen. Trotzdem erscheint mir die Idee ganz pfiffig zu sein.

Die Lehrer beobachten die Sprachschüler, wie sie in der fremden Sprache unter Stress kommunizieren. Interessantes Konzept.

Wer träumt nicht davon, mit seinem Avatar in SL auch Geld zu verdienen. Second Life bietet sich geradezu an, das eigene Geschäft im Kleinen auszuprobieren, ohne viel “echtes” Geld zu riskieren.

Soundeffekte mit Audacity erzeugen (Donnerstag 17.12 um 19:30 Uhr)

Wer hätte sie nicht gerne, die coolen Soundeffekte für SL-Objekte oder für den eigenen Podcast? Spezielle Effekte zu erzeugen ist gar nicht so schwer und man kann dazu das kostenlose Programm Audacity benutzen.
