Basic Scripting 103 - First hands-on
Instructor - Jim Gustafson
This class will explain how to create a new default script; changing the llSay to llOwnerSay (this will reduce the noise in main chat). Changing the Text for the touch_start event. Adding an llSetText in state_entry. Explaining why llSetText is a permanent attribute of the object. Explaining how to get rid of the hover text later.
Students will learn:
- How llSay and llOwnerSay works
- How the touch_start event works
- How llSetText works and how you use it to label your objects.
This class is BEGINNER level.
PREREQUISITES: Students should be able to use their camera view and the chat history. They should also be able to rez a prim and already understand the default script as taught in 102.
