I have developed two new classes at ASL:
- Examining Scripts 301: xyText
- Using Voice in SL
Please check my Google Calendar for dates and times.^ASL^ Examining Scripts 302: xyText on a prim
The Academy of Second Learning Presents…
Examine Scripts 302: How to display text on a prim without uploading an image.
Instructor - Jim Gustafson
This class will be in English AND German Language!
In this class we will examine the script xyText from Xylor Baysklef and other scripters that you can find in the SL-Forums. It enables you to display any text on a prim with a limit of 6 characters per prim. This script is great to build signboards that can change their text script based.
Students will learn:
- how the prims are build to display the text.
- how the text is displayed on the prim.
- how the characters are selected for the display.
This class is ADVANCED Level. Students should be able to understand LSL Scripting or should already have attended my classes 102-104 and 201-203. They should also be able to lookup LSL Functions in the Wiki and find out what they do.
